My mother fondly recalls a snapshot from my childhood — a tiny me, nestled in the grass among our backyard, cradling a dandelion gone to seed, gently tracing the contour of its fuzzy tuft with my fingertips. In my earliest years, I forged an innate connection with the wonders of nature. That moment, and many other quiet but impactful ones like it, encapsulate my enduring reverence for the natural world, a lasting thread in the fabric of my being.
Throughout the years, I explored various art forms, but my passion for sculpting ignited during a night class with renowned sculptor Rhoda Sherbell at The Art Students League of New York in 2011. Under her guidance, I felt a magical connection, much like with nature, as I learned to work with wire armatures, molding and shaping clay into my mind’s desired forms.
Sculpting is like a meditative journey for me. When I sink my hands into warmed clay, my mind quiets, and my soul finds its voice. I let my fingertips do the talking - pinching, pulling, smearing, and pressing, shaping the clay in a very instinctive way. Through this process, I bring to life physical expressions of the visions that resonate with who I am, and perhaps, who I've been. My figurative works draw inspiration from nature, symbolism, and womanhood, with each piece emanating tranquil strength, veiled in subtle mystique - viewers finding themselves pulled a little bit toward the unseen.
When my hands aren’t covered in clay, you can find me:

“The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with objects it loves.”
